Observation Support & Growth-Based Performance Systems

The Danielson Group has partner with organizations to offer educators and their school communities observation and performance systems options to enhance their work with the Framework For Teaching.

IN ORDER FOR OUR COLLECTIVE VISION FOR STUDENT SUCCESS TO BE REALIZED, WE NEED TO BRING OUT THE BEST IN TEACHERS.

Together we can achieve this. The Danielson Group has joined forces with our edtech partners to offer educators like you observation and growth-based performance systems and support to enhance your work with the Framework For Teaching. By combining the Danielson Group’s approach to professional learning, the principles of the Framework for Teaching, and new technology, we can enhance the experience of every single learner in your professional learning community.

THE DANIELSON GROUP'S APPROACH TO PROFESSIONAL LEARNING & STUDENT SUCCESS

The Danielson Group’s approach supports district leaders, school leaders, and teachers to build a professional learning system that is guided and defined by five interrelated principles.

Three spheres of influence, Reflective Practice, Collaborative Inquiry, and Instructional Coaching provide the organizing structures and processes for the guiding principles to come to life and support deeper understanding and intentional, purposeful instructional decisions. When anchored intentionally and purposefully to a defined instructional vision, these three constructs maximize the possibilities for school improvement and teacher growth.

THE FRAMEWORK FOR TEACHING'S RUBRICS & LEVELS OF PERFORMANCE

The Framework for Teaching is intended to do exactly what it says: to frame the vast, collective professional knowledge of the teaching profession. The Framework and its elements help us reach our vision of instructional excellence and student success.

The Framework’s Rubrics and Levels of Performance provide educators with a roadmap for improvement. Both elements help build a common language around excellence and improvement. Ultimately, the Danielson Group’s hope is that the Framework is used in school communities to support teacher growth and development in these key ways:

  • Provide a roadmap for educators and an elegant description of the complexity of teaching
  • Help us measure and understand the quality of practice in our schools
  • Support reflection, self-analysis, observation, growth-focused feedback, and evaluation of practice
