The Talk About Teaching Conference — October 28–30, 2019 in Norristown, PA.
The pursuit of great teaching is an ongoing process that is dynamic, social, intellectually engaging, and inspiring for teachers, school leaders, and ultimately, for kids.
Join us for this three-day conference where we will continue to shift the conversation about teaching from evaluation to professional growth and instructional excellence, using the Framework for Teaching and its companion tool, The Framework for Teaching Clusters (FFT Clusters) as our guide. Whether you know the Framework well or have never used it, you will develop a deep understanding of how it supports continuous professional learning, district/school-wide improvement, and teacher-driven change for students.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- Research and best practices that support collaborative observations, professional conversations, and engaged teacher learning
- Connections between the Framework for Teaching, FFT Clusters, and social-emotional learning, culturally responsive teaching, and racial equity
- Ways educators are engaging in professional learning linked to high-quality instructional materials and the FFT Clusters
- Equity and school improvement efforts as demonstrated in the documentary The Infamous Future, featuring Eagle Academy (a private screening and discussion with the film’s executive producer will take place during the conference)
