Project PLEDGE, Professional Learning for Educators working with the Danielson Group to improve outcomes for English Learners (ELs), is a monthly professional development program supporting professional growth and instructional decision making for school administrators, coaches, and K-8 teachers to increase their capacity to support English learners’ language and literacy development. All sessions will be delivered virtually. Project PLEDGE is a National Professional Development Program funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA). The goal of Project PLEDGE is to implement professional development activities to improve instruction for English Learners (ELs) in grades K-8 and support educators working with these students to meet high professional standards.

Recruitment: Important Details & Dates

Our PLEDGE project team is in the process of recruiting interested educators for the second cohort of Project PLEDGE and will be hosting three 45-minute informational sessions. Join one of these sessions and find out how you and your teachers can receive back-to-school funds in the form of amazon gift cards by completing a short survey to enroll in our program. Participant Benefits

  • Participating administrators, coaches, and teachers will receive ongoing, embedded support each month to ensure the evidence-based PLEDGE practices are implemented with fidelity

  • All participants who complete the program will receive a micro-credential digital badge in partnership with the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE)

  • EL parents and caregivers will receive training to support the language and literacy development of their children

  • ALL at no cost to participants or districts
